Hello! I'm Rachel, a variety creator attempting to make things that make me happy! I dabble in illustration, writing, and video production. And, I guess, now I'm attempting some webmastery! I am also simultaneously working towards acquiring an Au.D. which is a lifelong passion. I'm trying to collect as many fun titles in my time on this planet within the Sol system. Basically, I have way too many interests and I look forward to trying to catalogue them here. Thanks for taking a gander! You can find a lot more of my ramblings over in the space log page and my art in the creations page. The first is more of a blog-esque thing while the second holds galleries and writing!
I've been drawing since childhood, and seriously since about 2017. However, comma, I suffer from upswings and downswings of motivation, so sometimes I don't draw for weeks and other times I draw every day. [aside: I think this is due to ADHD but dear god getting diagnosed takes time and money] But I've been writing for over a decade! More days than not I write poetry or fiction, though 90% of it will never see the light of day. I answer some more questions about how I create over in my faq page. My favorite genre of things to create is speculative fiction, as I've been obsessed with robots since I was a wee bab and draw them everywhere and read a lot of futuristic fiction myself. My favorite genre of videos is video essays, both the incredibly formal a-la Hbomberguy and the more informal, comedic like NakeyJakey.
My upcoming goals are to focus on combining visuals and writing on my YouTube channel and cultiviate this website as a creative outlet for myself. I'm currently creating from a self-interested point-of-view as I am trying to be my own biggest fan! So while that first sentence is subject to change on a whim, as my heart tends to do, I definitely want to listen to my own excitement and follow the pull of whatever projects excite me.
